Job Responsibilities
· Collaborate with Hardware Team: Work closely with the hardware team to create design solutions that are not only functional but also visually appealing for modern, industrial IoT devices.
· CAD Design: Utilize modern CAD software to design housings, test stands and other mechanical parts.
· Rapid Prototyping: Develop rapid prototypes within short iteration periods to test and refine designs. Our modern FDM printer will help you.
· Production-Ready Solutions: Transition prototypes into production-ready solutions, ensuring they meet all necessary specifications and standards.
· Workshop Management: Organize, structure, and upgrade the mechanical workshop to ensure it operates efficiently and effectively. We're running out of M3 screws? Stock up the inventory!
Job Requirements
· Educational Background: Possess an engineering degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design, mechatronics, or a related field from a university or FHS (master's/diploma).
· Professional Experience: Preferably have 2+ years of professional experience in the relevant field.
· CAD Proficiency: Have solid knowledge and experience using a professional CAD tool such as Solidworks, PTC Creo, Inventor, Fusion360, or Siemens NX.
· Manufacturing Methods: Strong knowledge of advanced manufacturing methods, particularly injection molding.
· Production-Friendly Design: High standards for creating production-friendly designs with a keen sense of aesthetics.
· Innovative Contributions: Actively contribute your own ideas and innovative solutions to the project, ensuring continuous improvement and cutting-edge design.
Nice to Have
· UX & UI Sense: A good understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design at the hardware level.
· Fundamental Understanding of Electronics: you've heard about Arduino's and made some LED blink back than in the university ? - perfect!
