Job Description
As a member of a team providing services to EUMETSAT, you will have the following responsibility:
* Maintain cloud processing systems and related tools and data-streams on Copernicus project.
* Maintenance of the essential s/w documentation to keep it aligned with the code;
* Software development and support leading to:
o correction of anomalies;
o implementation of evolutions;
o increase of the performance;
o delivery of the associated software patches or releases;
o support to deployment and validation of the corrected/updated IPFs in the EUMETSAT
o operational ground segments;
Qualifications
You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:
* Minimum Bachelor´s degree in Information Systems or an equivalent discipline;
* Experience in software development with C/C++;
* Experience with scripting:
o Python programming and linux systems;
o Databases;
o Data downloads from operational systems.
Advantage will be the following skills:
* Experience with Earth observation data and operational data streams;
* Experience in development of operational software;
* Experience in scientific analysis;
* Experience in software optimisation;
* Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
