What Challenge will you be taking on?
As a Ground Segment Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, evolution, and development of the Galileo Ground Control Segment (GCS). You will work closely with various teams to ensure the successful execution of project tasks and contribute to the overall success of the Galileo program.
Your main tasks will be:
* Support in the integration, regression testing, and final implementation of new or upgrade ground control segment releases.
* Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical problems.
* Conduct testing and validation of new systems and components, and report on test results.
* Support the ground segment configuration control.
* Ensure the consistency of engineering activities with respect to the qualification and acceptance test program.
* Prepare technical reports and documentation for system operations and maintenance.
* Participate in the training of staff on new systems and procedures.
* Respond to incidents and system failures, taking necessary corrective action.
* Support meetings and technical reviews with other stakeholders.
What do we need in our team?
We are looking for experts in Aerospace Engineering or a similar field with background and interest in Ground Segment Engineering.

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Experience in ground segment engineering, preferably within the aerospace industry.
* Strong knowledge of software installation, configuration, and testing.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Capacity to work autonomously and take initiative.
We will also value previous experience, and knowledge in:
* Linux Systems and Scripting.
* Knowledge of satellite navigation systems.
* Experience with automation tools and processes.
* Hands-on experience with satellite ground station equipment and operations.
* Familiarity with agile methodologies.
