The "Senior software engineer - AI” will play a critical role in developing an AI-first mindset within the Product & Engineering departments at SAP LeanIX and push the boundaries of our understanding and usage of the latest technology. The role includes the following responsibilities:
* Define and evolve the LeanIX AI architecture
* Collaborate within a small fast moving team to stay on top of latest advancements in AI
* Work on discovery projects to learn and apply latest AI advancements to our product
* Help teams integrate solutions from discovery into real features in production
* Validate new approaches and spread learnings through all teams at LeanIX
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for an experienced engineer who:
* Has a strong background in machine learning and enough software engineering experience to build end to end solutions if needed
* Is interested in latest developments in the field of Generative AI, and has used it in business scenarios
* Is customer oriented, wants to understand and build the right thing for the customers
* Is proactive, curious and eager to learn
* Likes to work on prototypes and explores new approaches
You bring in the following experience:
* Machine learning experience and knowledge of the concepts behind AI systems
* Expertise in prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation (RAG) and AI agents
* Hands-on experience with extending and improving Generative AI systems
* Software engineering experience to build a working end to end solution
* Shared knowledge or mentored people/teams within your previous company
* Proven focus on solving customer problems and delivering value
* Hands-on mentality paired with a strong curiosity
* Excellent communication skills in English
